Dr. Daniel Patterson graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Animal Science in 1976 (Go Hokies!). He then spent ten years working in the field of toxicology research. He received his Doctor Of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University in 1991. He has been operating HomeVet Mobile Veterinary Care since 1992.
He is married to Roxanne Barksdale, a Clinical Social Worker with a private psychotherapy practice in Hillsborough. Roxanne also received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech. Their only child, Amelia, received her Architecture degree from Virginia Tech in 2010 (are we seeing a pattern here?).
There are currently two four-legged family members; "Toby", a ten year old cat found wandering the streets of Hillsborough as a kitten, and "Brooke", a three year old terrier mix adopted as a puppy from the Orange County animal shelter.
